Firstly, We know the night becomes darker because currently the moon reflects the sunlight to earth and due to this night become less dark. as the moon disappears from the sky, the sunlight won't be able to reach the earth at night. and the night of earth becomes very darker.

Due to dark nights, night predators like owls won't be able to hunt at night. At night due to darkness and a small amount of moonlight makes a perfect situation to hunt their food and survive their life. without any light at night, it becomes very harder to spot targets. this leads to a drastic change in the ecosystem and it leads to the extinction of certain night predator animals.

Effect on earth rotation-

The gravity of moons holds the rotational velocity of the earth. as the moon disappears. the rotational velocity of the earth increases and the earth rotates faster on its axis compared to the previous. and due to this, our days will be shorter than 24 hours.

Protect earth from asteroids and comets-

Our moons also protect the earth from millions of asteroids and comets. as in absence of the moon, these asteroids and comets directly hit the earth, they become a thread for the earth. the crater on the moon proves that they save the earth from millions of such incidents in the past.

We always wonder that where do the tides in the ocean came from. there are various reasons for tides in the ocean and moons gravitation is one of them. moon gravitation pulls the tides in the ocean and thus we see high and low tides at different times. as the moon disappeared the ocean tide disturb to a great extent the ocean animals like crabs, starfish, mussels, and snails are dependent on the tides for their survival so the tides in the ocean stabilize the marine ecosystem. without the tides, it leads to mass extinction of these marine species.

                             The tidal movement also helps to stabilize the earth's climate. because the current is produced by the tides. distribute the warmer water around the globe and control the global climate.

Moon disappearance disturbs the tilt of the earth. as we know our earth tilts at an angle of 23.5 degrees, when the moon disappears the earth may be a tilt at a different angle than previous. as the tilt and rotation of the earth are responsible for the seasons and climate.

Effect on the season-

We experience - spring, summer, autumn, and winter season on the earth because the earth is tilted. so without the moon, there could be an extreme change in the seasons. there will be two situations first it would move to no tilt which means there is no season and 2nd it would move to large tilt which means extreme weather and maybe ice age came.
